I was looking at Lunsford's Ti turnbuckes for my MLST, and I noticed that the set was $40, while Atomic makes Ti turnbuckles for almost $20 less. I know Lunsford is good stuff, but are they really worth the money?

I can bet you right now that the Lunsfords are of better quality then the Atomics.

Ti is made into a usable part(i.e turnbuckles or screws) 2 different ways. It is either CNCed or a process that is like casting. The 2nd way is horrible and is actually weaker than 6061 alum. Just about every turnbuckle I've seen is machined and of good quallity. I don't think the LST weighs enough to possibly bend a Ti tb if a horrible crash was to happen. GO FOR THE CHEAP ONES.

Leave it to an R/C'er......they WILL find a way to break anything:p . Hard, soft, flexiable, bendable......we Will find that last pebble on the road and get sent airborn........that lone skinny tree in a big open field.......or even that table leg that "jumped in the way":p .

Even the "expensive" Lunsford's break/bend some of the times. I personally here less Lunsford 'buckles sucumbing to those problems than any other brand out there.

Doesn't Lunsford still offer their warranty? If they do, it is one of the BEST in the biz:cool:
