What are good steering servos for the MLST?

I think my stock servos are shot or the reciever is.

Also what is the stock steering servo? Do they have it on tower?

Thank you all!

Is this a good combo of Battery and servo?

Team Orion Supercharge 7.2volt 1600mah 4x2 (http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXMEY4&P=M)

And

Hitec HS-65MG Micro Servo U (http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXLGJ5&P=M)

The Hitec 65 is not a good choice although it is a good servo. Ths one is smaller and has a compleetly different output shaft.

The Hitec 81MG and 85MG are well known used as the Multiplex Tiny-MG and the Digi-Polo

if i went with the 85mg should i get two or just pop one in?
What is the minimum torque needed to turn a stock MLST?

Also... What is the spline number on the stock horn?

Thanks. You can probably tell i'm very new to the Mini.

I personally have had success with the Hitec 81 and 85 MG servos, so I like them. Others have had mixed feelings, but would easily use them again.

However, keep in mind that the Hitec 81 or 85 servos are a not direct fit for the MLST. Meaning you will need a little bit of work to get them mounted up and runing into your MLST. Not to say they won't, or wouldn't be a nice choice.

The Hitec 81 or 85 servos have a bigger sized case, so you will need to make room on your chassis. They also have a different spline count then the stocker, so you will need another arm or saver of your choice.

When I had my MLST:( , I had the CAW extended chassis which accepted the bigger Hitec 81 servo. I ended up using dual 85MG servos due to they were what was available to me at the time. Even those are slightly bigger than the 81's, so a little "massaging" was needed for my chassis.

Not sure what the spline count is for tha stocker, but if you send an email to Losi (or Horizon) or give them a call, i'm sure they should know:cool:

Seems like I'm having the same problem fitting my new HS-65MG servos into my MLST2. I can't find a servo horn that fits.

How did you get yours to work.

Can't find the parts anywhere.

I have hitec hs81mg's in my mlst and the 3Racing servo savers work perfectly, they have an adjustable drag link so no slop.

I've heard that some people are using rc18 servo savers with success as well.
