Mini-T won't move with a full charge?

I haven't run my Mini-T in a long time, so I charged the 6 cell pack on a 50mv cutoff. It went up to about 8.4 volts and I put it in the truck. It ran for about 10 seconds and then the truck slowed to a crawl. I tried it again later and it did the same. I just plugged the battery into the charger and it shows 7.38 volts. What is going on?

Have you tried out another motor, it seems to me that the motor is dead and on its last leg.
