will the half8th shocks fit,,,,,, ?
I'm not sure. I sold my KMIST a few months ago. Have you checked out towers site lately? They have all the ST parts listed now. I went ahead and pre-ordered 2 sets of CVD's @ $34 set.

well from what I have found out through my testing,,,,, it has only been a few days but I have been trying to beat this truck up.....
I dont think there is a real reason for the steel cvd's, the plastic ones are pretty syrong and inexpensive,, only 9bux for all 4,,, and the gear diffs have been holding up very well,,,, not sure if the plastic used is just stronger ....
I might just buy the ball diffs for the rear just for the tuning ability.......
I will be going to the track tomorrow and trying out my buggies rear anti sway bars I find that I traction roll somtimes while on the fast sweeps,,,, and I hope to get video,,,, if not tomorrow then thursday

Hey,
some sweds have mod h8 shocks on ther truggies,
but the swedish forum is down so i cant fix any pics right now,
anyway you have to dremel some in your lower arms and use a fuel line and a antenna tube to get the small lower skrew in to the big hole in the h8 shocks
I'l post pics when the forum is ''up and running''

is there any reason why you would want to use them..... just mod the stock shocks and they will perform perfectly..

I forgot who owns hat vendetta ,,, but I think they had to do some slight modifications to get it to fit,,,, I currently dont know of anyone using those shocks,,,,,
the mini-t shocks fit and work well

It looks like the shocks are too long and would actually limit upward travel but increase droop travel. Its not a crawler, why would you want more droop travel?

i like to have droop.. makes landings less violent..

Good point!:o Upward travel is so little untill you're hitting chassis. Are you running those shocks in any of your videos? I'd like to see with H8 shocks and stock for a comparison. I guess anything would be better than stock, as long as they had theaded bodies. What gearing would you recommend for an ammo 5100? I still can't decide between the 5100 and the 3900.

the 3900 is good for 19/41 or 21/45,,,,,, im not sure about the 5100,,,,,,

this is the truggy with a 19/41 gearing.. http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=5837009851097563961
the permax is much faster .i believe its with the same gearing.... http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-1470066542493510604

Do those shocks bind at all at full droop?

How long are these shocks? Would mini inferno shocks work as well?

I have used half8 shocks last season on the truggy...I had to build higher shock towers and new mounts in front and also in rear to have about same amount of way the shocks/suspension can work...
And I switched back to stock shocks, because the half8 shocks I used have to much resistance for the shaft to getting moved. In movement they perform well (i mean if youŽll pull/push the shaft), but the force to get them moved from no movement is much higher as the stock ones. (I hope I have explained it well enough to understand - IŽm non english speaker, but this you should know now already^^).
Probably I choose only the wrong manufacturere of half8 shocks...and there will be some with very smooth damping available.
@jaejw1: Which shock oil do you use in front and back in your truggy (in stock shocks)?

mostly, the people that have problems with ANY shocks are the ones that don't know how to build/rebuild them correctly;)
