I have the stock plastic shocks, not really impressive. They dampen well but bleeding is a pain. Are there any aftermarket or retrofits out there?

The Duratrax aluminum shock look better, but are they better to work on?

the alums shocks are worlds better than the astic ones,,,,, but make sure you dwitch the titanium shafts from the alums bodies for the steel shafts of the plastic bodies,,,,, the titanium is very weak and wil snap like a toothpick

Do they bleed any better than the stock plastics?

I think I might drill holes in the caps to help with that.

dude...when you build normal shocks. You pretty much fill them and put the bladder on top, push up the shaft as you tighten the cap to bleed out the excess.

And yeah, I did that, still a pain.

Yes, its a carpet set-up.

I tried 70wt but it seems thinner than stock. Is there any info on what the stock oil is?

I was thinking of going to 100wt, if this 70wt is to light.

The reason why there bleeding like that is because of trapped air bubbles, when you fill it up with shock oil make sure you push up and down on the shock shaft to get rid of the air bubbles and then you put the cap on.
