Decked Out Micro-T

So today i finished my final order for this thing... this is what i got

(1) Losi Micro-T
(1) GWS 8 amp esc
(1) GWS 75MHz surface micro reciever + xtal
(1) Mx3 75MHz Transmitter + xtal
(2) Set of Micro Deans
(1) HS-55 Servo
(1) 2s (7.4v) 250 Mah Lipo

+ My carbon fiber chassis that I am making.

So what do you guys think?

Sound like it will be quick with a lipo in it. I'm thinking of getting one. they look like fun.

im also rewinding my motor down to 20t.. YES 20T! and putting in some neo magnets... wow this things doing 40 for sure. :)

You're using the GWS ESC. Does that mean you have no brake action? I understand those go to reverse with no delay at all otherwise I was going to use that esc myself.

I see. I've ordered an Airtronics ES-01 (ESC) which should arrive soon. If the posted dimensions by the retailer were correct then it should be a no mod fit next to the GWS reciever. Now that's a car esc which means proportion, brakes and I do believe reverse as well.

I lke the sound of that ESC. I did a bit of searching and found it's input is 6.0-9.6V fine if you are using 2 cell LIPOs. I use 4.8 packs. Next I found this.

Although I don't have reverse on my racers, I think having reverse on these cars is nice, especially when using them to play pool.:D :D

Yep, i noticed the min voltage for ES-01 right after my post too. It pretty much is not going to work with Ni-Mh batts!! I have a novak spy and while it may fit on it's own with wire shortening mods it will pretty much not fit with a rx in there, at least not with the case ( if we're talking about stock chasis)

Has anyone tried the Novak esc/rx combo which is used in the Kyosho Half 8 ARR (almost ready to race) sets? That should be the thing for The Micro-T.

I WILL do a partial trade for that novak spy... i will give you my micro rs4 with a g10 chassis, a hs 81 metgal gear. steel hpi dogbones. integy motor mount (purple) a new belt and spur with one run on them and a xtra set of inner wheels and spur... i can ship it tomorrow via next day air...

Oh the novak/spy is from my xray m18 which I still run and need. I was just trying to pass on some general info about how it would fit in the Micro-T.

well if u used the es-01 and gave me the spy you would only be spending 30 dollars for that micro-rs4 that you can resell for 100 + on ebay and buy two novak spys for! im just in need of a novak spy ... i really want one.. so im parting the mrs4 :( gotta do what you gotta do

Would've liked to help you out and generous offer indeed.However I won't be using the ES-01 in my xray since our racing does get competetive (trash talk and such) and the spy is so smooooth and you probably figured out I was kidding about using it in the Micro-T. I'll definately find the use for the ES-01 in one my other small scales.

I way overpaid for the ES-01 and I will be using it anyway like I mentioned. If you put in some keyboard time you may be able to find a new one for $20 plus shipping. Someone just posted a link where the guy mentioned he was able to buy one from ebay for $12.99. I don't know if that was used or new and can't find the post to forward it to you. if I find it i'll let you know.

Who are you replying to mostly broken? What are you wanting in trade for the SPY? I sure don't want to give the impression that I am trying to move in on someone else's trade deal, but if wherever you are trying to do doesn't work out keep me in mind I am always looking for a good SPY. I like'em.

he wasnt talken to me.. because of trading the mrs4 for it. but get it 4 stroken.. goin to my post office soon to pic up the micro-t! the only thing i dont have is the lipo. but besides that i got everything... oh ya the carbon fiber too. but still

havnt been able to get to the computer at all, and still wont be able to again til thursday but i have everything on my micro-t, except the carbon fiber STILL hasnt come in. prototype is being worked on. if anyone is interested in the gws 8 amp brand new i can sell it for 10 dollars shipped via priority. it has forward and i think programable brake. the banebots esc works great, i didnt know what was wrong at first and couldnt figure it out cause i had to get the manual offline and it would load. but all u have to do is adjust the throttle trim and it will work great. anyways im fixing to get back to work on the proto :D

hahaha well it was in florida on the 17th but they had the wrong address and i called ups and got that sorted out and just recieved my carbon fiber.. i will be able to make atleast 5 (full chassis) upper and lower with what i had i may be able to get 6 of 7. my bottom deck proto is finished and can fit my etec 250 and a gws Naro +F servo ( a bit bigger than hs81). my upper deck will fit my reciever ( gws naro(i think) 75mhz (banebots.com) and a banebots esc(banebots.com). i would highly recommend this esc to anyone who is wanting to upgrade the micro-t ep. it cost 38 after shipping and that was via priority. im stuck on what to do for steering... im wondering if i should get some 1" turnbuckles and some ballcups or something.

I think that thing is going to get pretty heavy. I think balls and cups are going to be to heavy for tie rods too. Maybe you can find some real tiny lite weight balls and cups from a micro helicopter.

i will be making the carbon fiber chassis tomorrow or sometime this weekend. the carbon fiber is actually pretty light for its 6 X 12 size. i wonder at the chassis size how light it will be. steering is gonna be a B***H.

i will make sure and do that. it will fit the stock electronics too. but i WAS going to drill holes to accomidate the stock elecs... but i sold the ep on ebay :) i bought the micro-t for 80 and resold the elecs for 40. i might be able to do this and sell full rolling chassis for like... 100... :) im not sure yet tho..

Want to sell me enough graphite to make a chassis and top deck? I haven't found a reasonable source for such a small amount. I do have a CNC machine, not sure if I'd use it or just cut it by hand though.
