I got my MRS4 back up and running around a week ago when i decided i would buy a new battery pack because i had lost the holder for the four aa batts. I got it out today and charged it and used it in my MRS4 with stock motor, then after 10 mins or so, it stopped the servo was working so i checked the motor and almost instantly i burnt my finger. I let it cool down and i think i bust it. I heard somewhere you can use any micro pack with the motor FTX 1200mAh to be exhact. But i think the problem with it was the gearing 14t,59t i think(kinda stupid i know), that was the only pinion i had at that time.

Could the gearing made the motor cook itself it says use a 9t pinion on stock motor with modified battery, but didnt have time to order one?

Also is there any motors that just fit straigh onto the stock plate or not?
If not im guna get my dad to cut me one so i can stick a 370 motor to it. Also is there much of a difference in a 270 motor compared to a 300.

Any help would be nice,
Cheerz

Also i mainly use it for drifting.

Dont you mean a 280 compared to a 300......If i were you i would consider getting a speed 300, very good motor with a low price, the only thing you will need of course is the motor plate. You can get them both here, http://rcraceday.com/comersus/store/comersus_listCategoriesAndProducts.asp?idCategory= 22 it seems though that you might need to get the motor plate somewhere else as the one they have is made for a 280 can which might have different mounting holes as the 300.

Alfed do you think this motor will fit on the stock motor mount because it looks the same shape. Also do you think the gearing fubbered the motor if so then i'll get a 9t pinion.

the micro stock and mod motor will both fit with no mods at all.....the F360 body is 150mm, just make sure you have the belt to run that body....but you should already have that belt as i think the mrs4 kit already comes at 150mm. Naw i dont think you burned up the motor as i was running a 13t pinion just fine, but you might want to check the gear mesh of the motor pinion to the spur gear and the best way to do this is to fold a sheet of college paper and put it between the pinion and spur gear then tighten the mesh up.
