DX3.0 DSM 3CH Pistol w/ 1-Z270 Sx & 1-Z590M Sx
Overview

Spektrum's no-pins, no-interference, no-glitch DSM 2.4GHz technology ignited a revolution among high-end racers. Starting with RF modules, we made it possible to adapt existing pro-style transmitters to this breakthrough technology for dramatically improved performance.

With the new Spektrum DX3.0, you'll have a 3-channel system loaded with great programming features combined with built-in, ultra-fast DSM modulation. It couldn't be easier.

You'll never have to select - or wait for - a channel again. Plus, glitching from motors and metal-to-metal "noise" will be a thing of the past.

2-SR3000 3-Channel DSM Receiver

Looks pretty good ... I'm thinking of selling my 1st-gen DX2 and buying a DX3.0...the DX3.0 now has 4 model memory and comes with a free reciever! One thing though ... anyone know if the batteries are all flat, or 4x2 like the old DX2 and DX3s?

If it looks like a JR copy then i wouldnt think so.....but i could be wrong. Why does your radio use a different type batt.

Well, I just wanted to know, because the 4x2 setup like on the 1st-gen DX2s and DX3s isn't that stable on tables.

alfred-
Umm...I don't think you understand. When I was saying 4x2 I was talking about the dimensions. The 1st-gen DX2s and DX3s have batteries like this:

Side view(4 cells long): ==== ; Front view(2 cells wide): ::

The radio battery setup that I like, are flat like this:

Side view(4 cells long ): ---- ; Front view(4 cells wide): ....

The flat setup just makes it really stable on tables ... and the 4x2 tends to fall over quite a bit. Most Airtronics radios are 4x4 ... From what I've heard, JRs are mostly 4x2 ... and so on. Just a personal preference that I noticed when I got my DX2.
