Three new lines introduced at Chicago!
If you didn’t make it to the Hobby show in Chicago then you missed out! You had the chance to meet the Tekin Prez, the Tekin Vice Prez, and Scooter the Race Team Manager, and more significantly, you had the opportunity to preview Tekin’s new line of speed controls. The response was overwhelming--the most frequently exclaimed comment was “I can’t believe how small all of them are”! There is actually not one, but three new lines that Tekin introduced, the R1 series, the FX series, and the B1 series.

The R1 Brushless/Brushed series speed control is not only the smallest 10th Scale Brushless/Brushed unit currently made, it is also the most versatile and full-featured. Among the many user adjustable settings, the R1 series introduces an On-Board Temperature Monitor and provides Lithium-Battery-Friendly Voltage Cutoffs—all a part of Tekin’s new AFT Design Technology*.

The FX series carries on Tekin’s tradition of producing Performance10th Scale Brushed speed controls. The FX series continues to deliver professional level race-winning performance, and yet is only 1/3 the size of its predecessor, the G11 Pro! The FX series was also designed Tekin’s proprietary AFT Technology*, featuring On-Board Temperature Monitoring and Lithium Battery Voltage Cutoffs.

The B1 series follows the hugely successful Mini Rage System in Tekin’s commitment to provide performance level products for 18th Scale drivers. Designed for Brushed motors, the B1 series again features Tekin’s AFT Design Technology* and, well, it is so small the wires weight more than the speed control!

*AFT—What it is: All new Tekin speed controls are equipped with Lithium Battery Voltage Cutoffs that also make use of an exclusive method of battery status detection and protection. Tekin’s AFT Technology determines exactly when the battery pack has reached a near-critical state and subtly adjusts the speed control’s behavior to alert the driver. AFT Design also incorporates an On-Board Temperature Monitoring system. Simply put, heat is everything, and this feature allows users to monitor their entire system for problems before they can inflict damages. The LEDs on the speed control are used to indicate system temperature and assist in diagnosing everything from drive train failures to over gearing.
