I'm surprised that I did a search here and no one has mentioned these.
I know I went MIA for a long time and I can't say I'm back yet. I'll be back in the summer. Alfred I haven't even gotten the 480 lambo running yet. This summer for sure. School has been a prioity recently, I'm buckling down.
I've gone back down to 1:64 scale and doing "big" things there. Now that that's out of the way...

Propulse from Radioshack is real and rumoured to be around $150, these are to be the replacements for Xmods.

AWD 1:18 offroader

FM radio
BBs everywhere
Aluminum center shaft
Oil-filled shocks
370 motor
rim/tyre upgrades
alloy shock upgrades
separate RX ESC and Servo (3 wire)
Dual motor upgrade

Comes in a buggy and a truck, the buggy seems to be my choice. I'd pick one up depending on the price.

I'm glad to see Radioshack making the leap to a true hobby grade car. Its very similar to an RC18, but they are not the same from what I gathered. This actually has a true dual bellcrank steering setup, and an adjustable spring servo saver, plus a few other things that could potentially make this better than a RC18. Plus it comes with a FM radio. One the optiones that got my interest is the dual motor mount. They're saying the price point will be about $150.

I would be more interested if I didn't already have a couple 1/18th scale cars, and the Micro T wasn't around the corner, but I still think its cool. Who's knows maybe I'll find someone with one of these to race with.

How come you havent gotten your 480 running yet.......I wonder if RS will also be carriying spare's and hopups for these as well. And yes it does look like its based on the RC18t platform.

In a nutshell, time & money ran out on me. I had to pay my tuition for school etc.

With the introduction of the RC18R, I might just get a propulse and convert it to rally. Plus the FM is great. I might get a 3pk and a FM Rx for my micro if I pick one of these up. Or maybe just the fm Rx. The upgrades etc would be sweet. I hope that some of the parts from the RC18 line can be swapped over...

Wow, I didnt know radioshack carried things like this. It looks pretty well made and its such a low price (well... relative). I might make a stop at my local radioshack to check this one out.

You won't be able to get these for a while. However, not even the folks over at the XMOD world are going to be getting these. Far too expensive, for nothing. If you go on the RadioShack site, in the R/C section, you can see the buggy. It's just an Rc18B that has been re-painted and has the silver AE springs. I think this is a hint that it won't be coming out for a while.

This is a prime candidate for a possible rally conversion from the RC18 line.
When will I get one? maybe for the summer. But definately want one.

Did you take a look at the specs on the esc.....80amps....dang thats a lot, must be high because of the dual motor configuration........and the 3 channel FM radio also makes it that much more appealing.:D

Is it me or does it seem that the parts for the propulse seem kind of pricey.
