Phoenix Arizona?

I heard someone is making a micro track here in Phoenix and it should be done in about a month and a half. Is it true? Where is it? Any info would be appreciated

Cool another Phoenix person! I had talked to the people at D&D hobbies and they had mentioned possibly starting a micro track but that it would be awhile. If there is something ready that soon that would be sweet. I don't know if this was the place you were thinking of? They were just starting to get micro parts a few months back but were quickly increasing what they had. They are located waaay east on Main. I am on AIM now and then if you want to chat. SN is s899kt.

I don't know where it is going to be or anything. I was talking to a guy at hobby bench and he said someone was making one and would be done it about 1 1/2 months. I really hope there is one to race at. That would be so cool. I was beginning to wonder if people in AZ even heard of a micro! lol So where do you live? I live around 35th ave. and Indian School. If no one really is making a micro track right now I would like to talk to some of the people at RC Sports Mania and see if they would consider starting micro racing with there onroad racing friday nights.

I live on the far east side of town. It sucks too I have a really messy schedule, basically work all weekend. I have not had very good luck finding things micro related locally, called a few tracks and they were just like..."HUH? 1/18? we don't race that whats a micro" Or something rude like that LOL! I do like Frank's Hobby house to get parts for the micro, they have good prices and are pretty cool, but unfortunately they don't have races. The closest Hobby Bench to me in PV mall has a tiny little box and thats it for micro parts haha. I have been disappointed pretty often seeing as how the micro is supposed to be so big and they have hardly heard of it.

hey guys i am in phx too, i race offroad at srs and i used to race oval at rc mania. i know the owner pretty well, gary and maybe sometime i will mention something about micros because that track there is new and not too small for a micro, but a little tight for 1/10......

Big and Small- Where are you at in Phoenix?

If I don't hear anything else about the micro track that is supposedly in the making in a week or so I will talk to the owner of RCSM and ask if he will ad a micro class. I noticed that they combined the onroad and offroad both into wendsday now so maybe there onroad attendence was lacking!? They may be more inclined to ad the class now. Nothing fancy but here is there web site: www.rcsprintcars.com I think they will ad the class if they get a few people to request it. I hope so.


Franks is now carrying a pretty good selection of micro stuff. Last week they said they ordered all of the pro line bodys for it.

Yea that's what I mean. I couldn't race any more than every other week. But if he can count on 3-4 people on a regular basis like every other week every three weeks or something I don't think he would have an objection.

Well the race is this saturday actually but anyway I emailed RCSM and they said they will mention it saturday. You can email them to request a micro class at RCSPRINTCARS@aol.com

I didn't even know D&D had a track, been there once. What they had mentioned was possibly an indoor carpet micro track they might start up down the road. I need to get my micro out again and have some fun. Got the speed 300 and havent even used it since :(

alright i talked to r/c mania. Its on 35ave and Osbourne. i got this reply when i asked if they are willing to start a micro class they said:

"There is a Rule at the Track. You bring it and can Race. The only thing is it takes at least THREE entries to make your own Class Race. Anything less, you could be put with another Class which could be very scary. So, bring a bunch and have fun Racing.

so everything should be cool. BTW its going to take a little time for me to get up and going due to the fact i cannot find a freakin novak spy anywhere....does anyone know a place to get a cheap bigblock?

P.S. Last Night, At the Sizzler Races, we had one young fellow that brought his Micro. No One Else to Race with. Hummm !! I told him to bring his friends with Micros. Lets Race.
