I've done arenacross(I don't like it, to slow and crowded) Outdoors(love it! huge jumps, high speeds) and I freestyle as well but not in any comps yet, but im sure id do pretty good if I had a bigger bike. I might get a 2003 KTM SX 125 this summer... but I'll just have to wait and see.

right now I just have a cr80. I know all about the ktms because I pretty much go in there everyday and I talk to all the team riders and stuff. The only thing is that parts are more expensive but ahh well. I think the KTM suspension will be ok for me because im pretty light. But I will probably be getting too trick suspension anyways.

I found almost no difference. Now that my tech 6's are worn in I like them more than my freinds worn in tech 8's. There pretty much an identical boot. I might be getting a 2003 cr125 soon!!!:D

honda is the way to go i say get the cr not the sx
xxtcrgp
07-24-2002, 01:03 AM
Well the thing is if I got a RM,SX, or a KX I would get a killer deal on them. Im sponsered by VMS (im not a team rider or anything) But I still might end up going with CR. Im closely looking at a YZF 250. That is a pretty kick ass bike
microRS4guy
07-25-2002, 01:17 PM
the thing i dont like about the 250f is the weight if u are a freestyler it will kill ur wips and the amount of hight u can get with the weight difference of a 2 stroke and i dont like how they are hard to start my dad has the cr450f and it is a nice bike but a pain to get started when hot. i think u should go for the cr 125 it is the way
xxtcrgp
07-25-2002, 10:55 PM
yeah. I was leaning that way to. I got some Boyesen Rad valves for my bike today, there dope. I think I might be selling my rc10gt and my losi truck, i dunno yet though. I wanna buy
this (http://www.evolutionfreestyleramps.com/Pics/24.jpg) bad boy
xxtcrgp
07-25-2002, 10:56 PM
oh yeah. I dunno if im gonna freestyle or race in the future. Freestyle and ramps are super fun. But racing is too so I dunno. Once I see which one im better at when I get a new bike
microRS4guy
07-26-2002, 12:13 PM
well i u get the honda u know it have the best suspension for freestyle and they last long good quality and the 2003 shoult be a really nice bike with all the changes
xxtcrgp
07-26-2002, 07:56 PM
yeah. I would probably racing too though. And I wouldn't keep the stock suspension.
microRS4guy
07-26-2002, 09:16 PM
well it is just my opinion i like honda and will probley never buy anything else
xxtcrgp
07-27-2002, 02:42 AM
I have owned nothing but a honda, but I always like to try other things. I cant say a kawi sucks because I have never owned one, its the same thing with all manufac.
xxtcrgp
07-27-2002, 06:33 AM
dude check this out!
Reports are coming in that the 2003 125SX is very fast and handles much better than last years bike. This bike is said to have almost as much power of other manufacturers 250's!
I will probably still end up goin red but my dealership was telling me such good things about the 03 KTM's. And you have to admit, european bikes are reliable
microRS4guy
07-27-2002, 05:09 PM
i dont know they may be fast but i doubt like a 250 (no way) and from the ppl that have ktm down here they break alout and ordering a part is a pain i takes like 2 months for them to come in i just love my honda
xxtcrgp
07-28-2002, 06:32 AM
Every bike rarely breaks down with proper maintanance.
That includes:
Clean airfilter after everyride
Clean crankcase oil after every ride or two
Clean chain
Lube chain
e.t.c
A guy I sometimes ride with has a KTM and from the last year I've ridden with him it is still running strong. I do not have to wait for parts either because lots of the parts my dealer has on hand.
But like I said, no bike "always breaks down". It will if you are retarded
microRS4guy
07-28-2002, 12:57 PM
y dou clean ur airfilter every time u ride and change ur oil every time i do the other stuff but not the air filter and oil i do that like once a month or as needed
xxtcrgp
08-04-2002, 06:23 PM
as needed is after every ride. Dirt get in your filter and your motor can suck it in. It gets in the jetting of in your carb and clogs things up. It can get into your motor and it wrecks absolutly everything. Dirt is abraisave(sp?), and besides you will get better performance with a clean one
microRS4guy
08-04-2002, 11:15 PM
yah i would do that but i never need to clean after just one ride some of the tracks we ride have no duds to the filter dowsent get birty at all and dam thoes things are a pain to clean
xxtcrgp
08-12-2002, 07:32 PM
yeah thats what you think. I thought the same thing and took my carb apart to rejet and there was dirt all over the thing

They are not THAT heavy. Just the pros find them heavy. Some people find that moving from a cr to a yz that they don't like the weight(just an example). Besides I think I will be mostly racing anyways. Freestyle is getting boring

dirt anywhere past your airfilter= no good
****ty deal man. What happened cassed a double...triple?
I looked at the Cr125 and I test rode it and hated how rough it was. Tonight I bought a 2003 RM125, such a kick ass bike!
microRS4guy
08-30-2002, 05:56 PM
it was probley rought b/c it was a brand new bike is needs to be broken in and set to ur weight. but i cased a double foot came off the peg and hit the groung and tore the acl pissed me off b/c i didnt even fall
xxtcrgp
08-31-2002, 03:18 PM
no its not rough because its a brand new bike. Its rough because of the aluminum frame. It was a test bike and had 10 hours on it before they made it into a test bike. I have talked to tons of people and they say that other companies do not come out with an aluminum frame is because of the tons of testing and cost. Have you ever ridden the CR125 that had the first aluminum frame? It was so flexy and rough. Yeah but my RM is sick. Im pretty much getting sponsered from the dealership now. They made my bike look like their factory riders bikes with all the graphix and ****. Then they gave me a complete top end rebuild kit and extra levers and stuff. Then when im at the races and I break somthing I just goto their semi and they will give me the part I need. And then If I get top five I can get up to $700 each race. AND THEN... I can killer deals on everything in their shop

key thing is how many bikes have you ridden. I have ridden more than you could count. Its just fine because you are not very competitive. Yeah I got a concussion now from cassing a double...Ouch
microRS4guy
09-05-2002, 08:45 PM
lets see i have ridden yz kx and rm there is only like one guy down here with a ktm soo dont know what they are like hey a concution is better than being out for 6 months so dont complain i will trade spots with u
elementuu
09-07-2002, 03:49 PM
ktm are awsome, but they require alot of maintence!more than a harly. lol
xxtcrgp
09-08-2002, 02:04 AM
KTM's need just as much maintenance as every other dirtbike. Being out for 6 months is better than a damaged brain.
microRS4guy
09-08-2002, 06:02 PM
i will swap lol it just gives u a bruse on ur brain nnuttin big unless ur travis pastrina i think he is done his head is screwed up big time
xxtcrgp
09-14-2002, 01:52 PM
I've had 5 concussions and my brain is permanantly(sp?) damaged. Im more forgetfull, lower IQ, and I have to watch not to get another concussion. Trust me its worse

well i didnt know u had that many u may wind up like travis pastrina lol

yeah I just messed my knee up last night. I was FLYING through the woops right next to my freind and we bumped bars or somthing? well I ended up just falling over but screwed up my knee and my left radiator :| my bike fell right into the next woop and the impact twisted it up and it was leaking. heres a pic of me at a track like 2 minutes from my house, its just a private track but its fun. This jump throws you about 15-20 feet high. In this pic im not at my peak im just about to land, but, yeah whatever....
