Here is the place to post little knick knacks that can easily be done with things found in an average home. I'll start it off:

Internal antenna:
Materials: Plastic soda bottle
Procedure: Cut a 2-3 inch wide section from the bottle so that you have a fairly long 2-3 inch wide strip of flexible plastic. Then make holes along the sides; Wide enough to be able to weave the antenna wire through. Make sure the holes aren't too rought or you'll cut your antenna wire!

for anyone who has a nitro car/truck, or fish.. u can cut little pieces of the fuel tubing or the air hose for the fish and use them for o rings.

That's koolio. Hey does anyone know if you can switch out the rear shock for an oil shock? I think you can fit a Mini-T oil shock upside-down, but I'm not sure.

You can buy a vcs shock and mount it but it requires cutting of the rear deck.

On the rear upperdeck (stock one) you will need to cut the middle section......take a peek....

Cool I need to do that to my MRS4 CVDs unless the heatshrink is too wide. There isn't much space in the knuckle. :(

Hey I got another tip that you reminded me of:
Keep grim from your diff
Materials: Heatshrink and super glue
Procedure: Get the part that you scrwe the diff side wheel onto. Put a little glue around the entire round edge. Get a thin peice of heatshrink and heat it around the glue. Re-assemble everything. Hopefully the heatshrink will cover the gap between the part that scrwe onto the wheel and the diff housing.

I just came up with this:
Easy clip removal
Materials: String
Tie some string on the clip so you can pull the clip out by holding the string.

i saw somethin like that^^ only u put heatshrink over the end of a clip and leave like 1/2-3/4 inch hangin off to pull it with.. works great, i use it on mine

Here's one I just did to my car
Custom clips: You know how they're a hassle to get on and off? Well here's the solution:
Materials: Small paper clips and pliers
Procedure: Straighten out the paper clip. The on one end shape it like the locking part of regular clip. Cut it as short and you want it to be. I use this mod for my battery holder (which isn't a pain to take off anymore), on the body posts, and on the body.

If you have an old team orion micro elite modified motor you can prevent the leads from breaking off (well at least reduce the chances) by bracing them with a block inbetween. I used a piece of 1/8" thick balsa wood. It prevents the ears from bending in and out; if you wanted to prevent side to side motion you could assemble a cross shaped brace.

Here it is:

I've always had problems pulling the hubs off of the wheel drum on my micro (I have the scars on my thumbs and the broken wheels to prove it). This made it a nightmare to do simple tasks like adjusting the rear differential and other things that required me to take off the wheels.

I actually did this modification because I thought it looked cool, but then I realized that it also allowed access to the screws/nuts that hold the wheels on without taking the hubs off. Basically you just cut the mesh or spokes out of the hub before putting it on. It leaves the wheel open so you take off the wheel without pulling off the hubs. Hope this helps somebody!

And make sure that your brake disc is glued on there well, if not it might just go flying off and a burden to find again.

Instead of using grease in my differentials I use carmex. It feels smoother and smells good to. The tube says its long lasting as well. Give it a try!:D

No I am totally serious. I ran it on my super stock micro during a full race season on both the front and rear diffs and even my buddy did no problems and is still smooth to this day.

this really works if you put some wd-40 or super oil etc.. any thing oily in with it works well.. but make sure you like the smell of the lip balm you put in.. cleaning the diff now from bad smelling lip balm (didnt smell it before i put it in)
