Just received my copy of the RC Car Action buyer's guide and I found that Tekin has 2 new brushed micro escs coming out. One is the called the B1 and the other is the B1R (reverse). Both have onboard programming, solder posts, drag brake, throttle profiles, and...............VOLTAGE CUT OFF FOR LIPOS! :D
I see no mention of them on the Tekin site, but they look pretty cool. Can't wait to get ahold of one!

What's drag brake?
It sounds obvious, but I just want to be sure.

It's amount of brake that is set when the trigger returns to neutral. Rather than coasting, there is a predetermined amount of brake. You can of course push the trigger back for even more brake, this is just for your neutral position.

That's definately NOT what I had in mind :D
Good thing I asked. I had a 1:10 with something like that, it was the throttle trim. You could keep the wheels spinning at 0 throttle or crank the knob the other way for lots of brake.
Thanks, sounds good.

That's the good thing about the drag brake as opposed to using the trim. If you use the throttle trim torwards the brake you will have a little "dead" spot as you pull th trigger to the throttle side. It just makes for a smoother setup. :D

Cool, is there anyway you can scan the article and post the pic up here......what size footprint is the esc....:p Drag Break is not for everyone....but it does help in certain areas on a track that the person is racing on......i find it helpfull going into corners.;)

Yeah, pics would be good! If it's small enough I may pick one of those up instead of another spy for the M18.

Sorry guys, don't have a scanner :( ...it's in the new buyer's guide. Not a whole lot of info other than what I posted....they appear from the photos to be about the size of the LRP Quantums, but don't hold me to that! I can't wait for more info on them as I have always had great luck with all of Tekin's products. I still have some 10 year old escs that work perfect!

I saw it in RC Driver.... I think it was an issue fom 2 months ago. I'm not sure if it's the same thing but they sound alike.

Yes, you are right...but some place do not allow you to run brushless motors. Also, some people justy don't like the "feel" of brushless. I run brushless when possible, but this will be my esc for racing when BL isn't allowed (stock) :D
