Indy Slots South has relocated the HO and 1/24th scale stlot car tracks up staris! They have smoothed out all the concrete expansion joints and now there is 53 by 35 feet of fresh Ozite on the main floor.

Off road action starts Tommorow 4-23-05, Oval on Sunday and On road on Friday nights!

This means 6 foot lanes for all road courses! and 1/12 scale action!

I saw it Saturday night and the track is first class.

The concrete floor was ground level and the carpet is super smooth. You can easily run 10 micro cars. Very wide, comfortable driver stand. The track is large enough for a 1/10th short track oval.

The track is SMOOTH AS GLASS!!!

The timing loop is kinda long. Found this out in the main as I had the lead untill the 4 minute mark and lost by 3 laps, yet was never marshaled. Cars were catching the loop with 3 turns to go. This can be compensated by track design.

Another issue is that the size of the track, makes 4 cell stock impossibly slow. Perhaps we need to go to a 5 cell stock class?!

Had a few 1/12 scale cars there before the race the track was plenty big enough for them to stretch their legs. What about a 1/10 scale front wheel drive class? I got a Tamiya MINI Cooper that would be fun...

whats goin on Dr Diff. Havent talked to you in a while. You still racin? Ive been doin the 10th scale thing for a while and its time to get back into 18th. Have to change every once in a while to sweeten things up.

Indy Slots has added outdoor racing for the summer.

Saturdays: Off-Road for 1/10th and 1/8th electric and gas
Sundays: Asphalt parking lot racing for T-Spec (Oval) and electric TC. Practice starts around 11, Racing at 1.

Well I have run the FF class at Indy Slots a couple of times. I am moving to Elkhart, Indiana.
