broke my shock (brp's).. what to get now

yes the awesome vcs shocks,, one of them i broke by accident while trying to straighten the shaft,,, well im in the market for a new set,,, the brp's seem to make the car sit higher than stock,, which caused alot of uncontrollable chassis rolls..

what shocks would be closer to stock as far as ride hieght

i have the AE 18t shocks and like them....but of course a lot of the people here use other after market shocks.

do you like the ae ones,, do they sit like the stock ones,, i need something to ride low

yes i like the AE ones since they were the hopup for the stock shocks. :D

yea i like my FT shocks as well, very tuneable...but i believe you can purchase the vcs rebuild kit on tower...i think this might be it??and you can always use lower wt. shock oil to have the car sit lower

the problem is that the shocks are too long,, longer than the stock shocks,, so therefore,, it sits higher..

do you still have the stockers Jae. Use them them until you can figure out which shock sets you want.:D

btw, hope your keeping a diary (for the makers of the micros). they'll definately be interested in your statistical (or should I say sadistical?) records of busting parts....so they can maybe improve on the kits...;)

And i thought i was the destructive one, it seems as though the 18t isnt Jae Proof. How can you only have two sets of the stockers man. I have the stock shocks if you need them. Just let me know....:D

im good,, i just need the caps that keep the oil inside,, i think i have a way to prevent those lil caps from getting busted from hard landings,, put an o-ring on the shaft and let it rest on the shocks spring cap,, that way the o-ring will take most of the blow,, preventing plastic-on-plastic crimes

just bought the shock replacement kit for the stock shocks,, and i will be putting them back on,, since the car rode a lil lower,,

once i get my moster offroad wheels,, i will take it to the track and see what damage i can do there,,,

the vcs shocks are great .. dont get me wrong,, but not for the rc18t,, atleast not for my destructive a$$.. i chose the right symbols,, because this has been costing me money,,


soon to come,, MSF480 sleeper,, mamba 8000 powered,, 9 cells with optional 6 and 8 cell packs..

i can keep my vcs shocks as replacements for the MSF

havent done anything,, been asleep.. will do something in the morning,, just got my gp2000 pack in today,,,
