Now we all know that the stock 18t chassis is just a plastic tub......and we all have dealt with the motor area not meshing well or the mesh of the pinion and spur can and will move if the screws are not tight enough. But the problem with the screws are the washers, they will dig into the plastic causing the person to have a hard time getting there mesh right. Well today i found this nifty little item made for the 18t which is by Team Associated. One plate goes at the bottom of the tub where you have the two screws and the other plate goes inbetween the motor plate and tub............just put it on and thank god....no more washers digging into the tub. Well worth it for only 2.00bucks

Wicked!
No why didn't Associated fit that to the original design?
Needless to say these will take weeks to hit Ebay and months to arrive in the UK :p
Nice find Alfred!

Did you get then on yet Alfred? These should do a good job with helping the motor to stay put and not wreck the plastic.
Tony told us about this at the other forum a bit ago. I just ordered them the other day from AE, since we're not lucky enough to have then in any of our LHS yet:( . I ordered those plates, the shim set for the RC18 (#21141) and the M2.6 x 6 washer (#21139). That last part is for the top of the motor mount. Tony was saying that it should do the same job as the bottom one.

ALFRED THAT PART IS INCLUDE WIH THE FT KIT. IN THE INSTRUCTION IT SHOWS THAT ONLY ONE IS TO GO AT THE BOTTOM. NOT AT THE BOTTOM AND BETWEEN THE MOTR PLATE AND TUB. THIS IS WHAT THE FT KIT ILLUSTRATIONS SHOW.
I ALSO GOT THE LUNSFORDS MOTOR ANS MOUNT SCREWS THEY WORK A 100 x BETTER THAN THAN STOCK SCREWS

yeah big-kid i have them on now.....the first thing i noticed was meshing the gears was a lot more simple then playing tug of war with the motor to mesh well. I didnt realize that the package said QTY. 1 hehehe lol i got two of them. I guess i just keep the other as a spare.
