Well delrin is suppose to be stronger then plastic and composite.

I see you remeber where to get them from:D

I guess if they're too short, they'll chew up the outdrive's. My stock 'bones were too short, but they chewed up the wheel side and got the pin in the 'bone rounded off. I also had damage to the steering hub. I guess we lose either way:(

Are you using the stock turnbuckle's? If you have aftermarket 'buckle's, perhaps that side is a tad bit short and not pulling them in close enough? Hopefully those delrin one's are better, or the metal one's come to market soon:cool:

well i read the delrins are stronger than alum,, the titanium of plastics,, and something about them being inpregnable(spelling)... anyway i will try and get a pairsoon,, but i would love to get a locknut for the diff screw,, that way if it strips ,, it wont..lol.. http://www.gpmracing.com.hk/car/page/pop_rc18tp8.asp

I disagree

I've had Delrin parts for my other small scale RC cars and it just doesn't last.
If you used the Titanium outdrives, they'd wreck your dogbones, as they are harder than the steel pins on the 'bones.
Use alloy/Delrin outdrives and the dogbones will eventually wear them down.

I would stick to the stock outdrives as they have never given me any problems. And there also cheap at under 4.00 dollars you cant go wrong.

well i fiured out the problem,,, everyting was melted,, the dring sunk into the plastic cusing the outdrive to come in further,, which didnt give room for the cvd to reach..

Well i guess your bl is taking its toll on the stock parts then, i guess the only solution for you is to get the Titanium Outdrive's. Will be stronger then the stockers and since you like using over 6cells in the 18t then this might be the best solution. But take Mondos advice on the dogbones.

Alfred,

I looked on MIP's website (http://www.miponline.com) and didn't see anything announced yet.

jaejw1, do you have a link to those Delrin outdrives, I hunted RCMart up and down last night - nothing! :p

Then where is all this talk coming from (Super Diffs). I think the outdrives he meant to talk about were these. At least this is the link he left for the outdrives.

Someone from the other side found this and Stormer's seem's to be the only one with any kind of info. I've checked the MIP site also, and nothing.

I can't even find an email address to send a question. I was going to ask if they would be making their golden shock shafts, and lo and behold they are:D . Also listed are the super diff's, shock bodies, drive axel, shiny CVD's and dogbones:cool:

that is why im going to experiment with the gp2000 cells,, having 6 of them will be perfect for bashing and racing,, and will last longer...
