I saw this on a UK Hobby Shop website today.

Factory Billet Upgrade Kit (http://www.teamassociated.com/newprod/2005/21240_billet.18t.htm)

Being the type of person I am, I compared the Factory Billet hop up kit price to buying all the parts contained within this kit seperately.
This kit saves you about 50% on the UK RRP price of the individual parts!

It contains

#21031 Factory Team Blue Aluminum Dog Bones
#21093 Factory Team Blue Aluminum Motor Mount
#21216 Factory Team Blue Aluminum Front Shock Kit
#21217 Factory Team Blue Aluminum Rear Shock Kit
#21220 Factory Team Blue Aluminum Suspension Arms
#21221 Factory Team Blue Aluminum Front Shock Tower
#21222 Factory Team Blue Aluminum Rear Shock Tower
#21223 Factory Team Blue Aluminum Steering Blocks
#21224 Factory Team Blue Aluminum Hub Carriers
#21225 Factory Team Blue Aluminum Castor Blocks
#5428 25 Wt. Silicone Shock Oil

The motor mount is the FT Heatsink Motor Mount :)

RRP: $199.99

TA claims the total value is: $281.38

You save +- $82 or about 33%!

I will be ordering one of these on Wednesday when the FT Ti Turnbuckles arrive at the LHS :D

nice!!!!!lol:D it's kind of late for me to get that kit. I was one of the dumb ones and got all the parts seperately, if i knew they were going to come out with the hopups all for one price then i would've waited.

I almost... and I mean almost bought one from the HS on Friday.
Today I hop onto Ebay UK, do a search on Mini T and find the FT Billet Upgrade kit for £25 (US$48) cheaper than the HS from a UK seller with a "Buy Now" option.
I clicked and bought.... man, sometimes EBay does pay off...

My FT Billet kit arrived.

What can I say? Nice!

I was quite happy to find the kit doesn't just come with FT Alloy shock bodies, but an entire Threaded Shock kit, springs, shafts, seals, the works.
As I already had bought a Threaded Shock kit, these will be assembled and kept as "hot spares"

FT blue alloy wheelnuts are included, although to be honest I prefer the black steel units that come with the kit..

The alloy dogbones don't look to shabby either, I intedned on selling them, but believe they're best kept for spares in case I ever break or bend an FT CVD
Another nice touch was the outdrive springs being supplied too.

I have only fitted the FT Motor Mount, I am awaiting my lovely HoleShot Engineering CF chassis

Alfred - this is all your fault :D

Hey dont be blaming me Mondo, i had nothing to do with it.......its going to take you no time at all installing the parts but i do suggest one thing though when installing the steering assembly.....put a small drop of loctite on the screws before you put them in there locations take a look at pic. The screws have a tendency to walk out.......make sure you use the blue loctite, red would be to strong if you need to clean the parts. And Mondo keep everything man, no need to sell it because one day you might just need that dogbone or etc.....:D

Help!

These came in a seperate bag in the FT Billet kit.
I'm at a loss, I've read the kit manual and diagrams, no ideo what these are for...
They are not for the shocks....

Can anyone tell me what these are for?

Thanks alfred :)

What would we do without you?

I discovered that the high speed flip that the RC18T got into today wore the top of the standard shock tower right down and the circlip pulled through the body mount.
The only logical soltution was to fit the FT alloy shock towers..

Actually they don't look to bad :)
