damage report

on 3-3-05 at approx. 1800hours I,jaejw1, was driving my rc18t in the street when i lost control and broke it.

the sky was clear. the streets were dry, and the wind slightly blowing. i was driving my rc18t testing out my newly changed front diff gears , 15t/60t gearing and also a freshly charged 8 cel gp1100 pack.

i was traveling down the street going north bound at an unknown speed,when a huge foot was placed in front of the car. i tried to avoid colliding with the foot, but the monster tires make the car uncontrollable at high speeds.

the car hit the foot, spun out of control and resting approximately 30 feet away for the point of impact.

damage: left suspension arm and bent hinge pin.

driver was sited and arrested for 22350 cvc unsafe speed, wreckless driving, no insurance, and assault with a deadly weapon....

Nasty crash. The suspect better be in jail for that. And wow that is one used skid plate. :eek:

foot said he had to go to work in a few hours,,, and that the pain went away...

Hey at least the 18t will be good as new as soon as you replace all the parts that broke, thats why i like this hobby, you break something then replace it. Now on some other toys there beyound repairable. So do you have all the parts that need replacing......Did you apologize to the foot man, you need to say that you were sorry at least. lol :D

That was alot more exciting then when I broke the arm on my 18T :rolleyes: It was off a 5" high dirt berm went up about a foot in the air and cam straight down on the right front tire and ripped the steering block and hinge pin right out of the front arm!

Well as i stated earlier that i was going to buy a ramp at ToysRus, a small one mind you. Dont have the heart yet to be going 5ft up in the air and come crashing down. lol So Jae do you have the parts for the 18t now, when will the 18t be up and running again. You must be at work drinking coffee and slaming some dounuts down....lol :D

it is up and running,, even with the damaged part on,, dont know how well it will hold up,, but as for parts i have them,

will be leaving for work in about 30 minutes..

No more speed violations for you mister. What you need to do is take the 18t with you and a fully charged 8cell and see if one of your buddies there can clock the 18t using a radar gun. I know we would all like to know just how fast this speedster can go.:D

yeah i saw this speed radar gun in a mail order catalog... might get one and shoot it,, to see how fast it is.... sholdnt be more than 45mph...

just something to do while im in the house watching my son,,, obsession grew.... used to be addicted to car audio,, i still love it,, but i cant participate in it any more,, my lil boy is too young still,, 16 months,,, my other sn i see him 4 days a month

I got addicted a year after i was divorced, thats when boredom and drinking came in. Did'nt know how to function when i got off work so i would hit the bottle. My very first RC kit was the Electric TC3 and next came the Nitro TC3---which was a blast----. And thats when i finally got into Micros and found them to be a lot more interesting then 1/10th. Just to see a 1/18th scale go so fast was a blast and so much fun.

yeah everything is fine so far,, i still have to do more testing,, the servo seemed to be acting up...

it wasnt returing to neutral,, but i fixed it,, it had something to do with the screw.. it was too short and to tighten it meant for it to be too tight..
