I have alot of issues Im trying to figure it out with this truck before i choose between it or a FT RC18T. But getting Mario or any Xray employee to answer some serious questions on it has been lackluster to say the least.
This is in their official forums.
Whats up? Anyone have an inside scoop? Are they overly focused right now in trying to smooth over the RC America fiasco with part availabiliy? Or do they not even have confidence in the truck themselves?

Yah, I was wondering when they would let some new "rumors" leak out about a release date?
I just saw some pix in one of the mag's. They did a 2 page spread on the 18MT and the new T1FK '05 . All the regular pix were there.
Are they still doing a "double shock" set-up for the monster truck set-up? The one with 8 shocks? Or was this idea scrapped?
I know the article had some info, but nothing on a release date. They did say all of the pix are of a prototype truck. When a production truck is released (or pix of it at least), there will be some changes. Some of those changes involved the fit and finish of the truck. So they do make it sound like there maybe updates to it. Possibly due to what the competition has? Hopefully a gear cover ! I do remember a pix in the article that showed off the spur thru the battery side, just like the RC18:(

Plus, I guess with Oxynary being a Mod, and he can't get anything out of Mario and the boy's at Xray, something must be up. Hopefully they up the ante in the 18th scale truck game ! Is it too much wishfully thinking that they could convert the truck 3-way's?!?! Can we say Stadium Truck/Monster Truck/ Buggy ! Yah baby :D ! It may not be totally needed, but the cool factor would be sky high. That would deffinatly put it on the "must have" list and a very good way to put them back on top of the whole Micro game:cool:
(;) Thats a wink and a hint Oxy, if they ever ask you what the masses might want ;) )

Dude, I am just to help promote the m18 portion, I have nothing to do with xray. What they do is up to them. But I do totally disagree with you with the multiple conversions. Each vehicle has its own unique needs that trying to make a generic basis for will reduce the quality of all three. Remember way back when with the truck conversions for the jrx and rc10? Remember how AE took the rc10 and revamped it >lots< to get the rc10t. It was alot more developed than the conversion kits, and it proved itself over on the track compared to conversions. The type of conversion to change a rc10 into a rc10t would have cost more than the kit! As it should be! Unless you want something generic that wont be as competitive?
So in my personal opinion, Xray still somewhat has limited their options by trying to use so much of the m18 design. Even more so by making this monster truck conversion they are after. Personally, I would have used "ideas" of the m18 as a basis, but redone evey single portion of the vehicle for offroad. Heck, they are still using a internal gear ratio they developed for on-road (and you wonder why they made that spur so large ;) )! And are limited to no front kickup (unless all this hush hush are correcting things like this).
