i'm placeing my order today, but had one last question.
All things being equal, i can purchase the 4200, 5400, &6800 mamba packages for the same price . Is there a compeling reason not to yet the 6800. I'm wondering about strain on the drive train?

quietfly,
I have a 6800 in the M18 and it's hotter than hell, I had to turn the motor timing to low to make it controllable.
I have put plenty of packs thru the M18 and there are no signs of premature wear on the M18 drivetrain
The RC18T has a 5400 and that is also a handful, although I can keep it well under control with the motor timing set to extreme
I've only put 2½ packs thru the RC18T with standard dogbones that were reinforced with the M18 plastic outdrive covers.
I gave it a good looking over tonight and those composite outdrives seem to be holding up well :)
Bear in mind, running the motor in extreme timing lowers run times :)
Also, I do recommend you get a MambaLink and download the latest software from CC's website ;) - Version 1.02
Your choice and either way, you'll love it.... I speak from experience :D

Whew.....
Thats good becuase i was impatient and orderd the 6800 anyway while i was browsing aroung the forum. :)
I also orderd the phx link and will download mamba link once i get all my stuff delivered.
I decided to go with CVDS all around even though i've been hearing good feed back from people using brass pressure fittings.
For now the waiting is the hardest part,
i just hope i don't do any thing stupid like try to make my 480 brushless motor fit. :)
