With shock towers and shocks just like 1/10. Just like a resized version of 1/10 scale touring car...

and if you do spend that kind of money, look at what you can get in the MRS4 and M18 line. :D

$140 for his matched pack

LOL! Alfred use Mozilla FireFox browser, you can get a "zoom" plugin for it. Ideal for us old timers :D

Back to the Micro, it looks great, but I'd also like to see larger and more detailed pics.

Wowza! That doesn't even look like a Micro. I have had a eensy weensy little bit of experience in 1/10th touring cars as I have built an HPI RS4 Sport 2 but it crashed and broke on its first run. Hello, ebay. Looks like there are even oil filled shocks on that touring car unlike the friction shocks on the RS4 and M18. I might be able to see better than you guys at age 11, but unfortunately, I am running a high fever at the moment which is the reason I am not in school right now. Over here it is half past ten. (Cough Cough Wheeze)

Im counting on the body to be here by the end of this week. I would like to be able to see a bigger pic if anyone has one. From what i could tell by the pic it looks like a sportier version of the M18.

Only by an act of God would that car ever cost that little. Sad, but true.

Even if its in $500-$600 price range, its still acceptable as some of you may have that much invested in a M18 with hopups. You're just taking the plunge right at the first time.

The car is still in prototype stages, but from the looks of the car its quite ready to hit production. My guess only...

More than I'd be willing to spend :D
Since this will probably a limited custom production, not a full on product line of a car, I'd say TFRMicro has a good estimate on pricing.

"Now HIROSAKA has established NHW PRODUCTS in collaboration with a Chinese R/C maker and started manufacturing R/C cars.
As our first product, we announce a 1/18 touring car.

This is a scale down version of 1/10 touring car having mostly the same settings as the original version.
Both beginner’s model at a lower price and racing model with special parts installed are to be released both as a kit and a finished product.
Masaaki Hirosaka is to assemble all the racing car models.

The price has not been determined. Scheduled to be released in May."

Heck...I'm still running the originall T1 with the pivot ball suspension. It works just fine. I've only added the aluminum layshaft, rear roll center bridge, and front eccentric pivots. All else is stock...even the bearings. :)

I would think that they would be distributed by Schumacher being that they are a Powers International distributor.

I'm wondering how the whole brake disk caliper thing works though. It's also got an interesting top mount on the shocks.

about multidiff
Well, I am quite new to one-way at all, raced just 5-7 times with one-way at all (carpet races only), raced ball diff in front before on Xray T1, so cannot compare it much

I have not tested solid axle yet, I plan to try it this weekend at wooden-floor race event, so dunno this option.
For wooden floor is solid one-way more stable (more underster) compared to independent one-way, so i race it here, it suits better my driving style, i like the car to be neutral - a little understeer.
And they say, solid one-way is good choice for asfalt races, so will see when snow melt down, we have 50cm of snow here now..

It is very easy to switch solid, one-way solid or independent one-way in 1 minute on FK04

alfred
01-17-2006, 09:15 PM
Cool i see they made the wheel inner hubs for the Nrx18, and i might just have to try the Mulitidiff man....I already use the balldiff and i also have a oneway so i dont mind adding this to my collection of tunning choices.:p

Acid
01-17-2006, 09:19 PM
The only thing is, front and rear inner hubs are same, and there are just 2 slots, so just 2 widths, but thats not problem to solve (at leas for me ;) )

alfred
01-17-2006, 09:21 PM
Well at least now your rubber and foam choices are easier to make now........You need to post a pic in the gallery when you get it all up and running......Theres no pic of a NRX18 in the gallery...yours might just be the first.:D

Acid
01-17-2006, 09:30 PM
well, i use just foams on my 1:18 cars, dunno what I will do with rubbers.. maybe I'll keep them just for showcase and photos ;)
Instead of, i will try to make my own hubs to fit my darlings ;)
http://rc-cars.rulez.cz/all.jpg

I will make some photos as soon as it'll be done and bodies dry :D Planing LMR from Homer for this...
Hope all be done till national champ race.

alfred
01-17-2006, 10:27 PM
Yeah im the same way.....just stick to foams......:D Cool cant wait to see how it all comes out.....Homers bodies are nice man.....:D

Acid
01-21-2006, 06:45 PM
Yes they are. I am curious how impact-resistant they are, they seems flexible, but dont incline to crack... Will see after first impact :)

Bad thing is, i drill holes for standart body posts location, but on CFC plates i draw, the rear ones are moved backwards and closer together :(

I compare solid axle vs. solid one-way on FK04 today, seems like solid axle is best choice for wooden floor, i changed suspension geometry since last race, so car is more stable now itself. With solid one-way, the car still leans to oversteer and was very sensitive, what makes driving more difficult on straights. With solid axle, the car was perfect, neutral, not so sensitive, but if u wanna go througt turns, it let you do them nicely. Very happy with this setup, solid axle seems like my only choice for future wooden-floor races.

Acid
02-05-2006, 02:53 PM

I have just returned from maiden ride... I am VERY satisfied how it handle. Responsive, do not incline to oversteer or roll-over. Friend says his M18 is very ?skippy? and was surpised how stable this car is.
I run the car on high-grip carpet (cutted i think, for sure it is not knot-carpet), setup was MS300, 5*GP100, GRPs' 45 front, 40 rear, stock springs, lowest upper shock possition (shock towes i made have 3 holes instead of 2 in original towers)

absolutely :)

other word that dictionary found me was grasshopper, but i dont think it is the word i mean..

He said that his M18 is "jumping" during cornering, dunno if rear or front end (I was too much enjoying my ride to listen carefully ;) )

whats the right expression of that? to know in future :)

lol.....i call it a$$ end hopping.....it seems that he broke traction in the rear...when he went through the corner...what tires or foams is he using for the rear.

Acid
02-12-2006, 09:17 AM
hmm, but his car was not oversteering... just hopping throuht the corner

no one here use rubber tyres, just foams

alfred
02-12-2006, 09:20 AM
what foams is he using in the rear......soft or hard.

Acid
02-12-2006, 09:22 AM
hard front, soft rear
like ussual

alfred
02-12-2006, 09:41 AM
Ask him to go hard in the rear....it seems the soft is gripping way too much.

Acid

someone was faster and he is interested in both of them, sorry

I can let made few more, but the price if i let made just one set is 1,5 times higher then when I let made 3 sets like i did..
The price for one set if only one is made is 60 * 1,5 CFC set + 7 shipping = 97 USD Total
Now that two I have left when made were 3 I am sending for 2*60 + 5 = 125 Total.

Your car and chassis look sweet Acid. The heatsink is a nice touch. Nice pix too:D

Is it me, or whats with the NRX - 12 designation? Perhaps I missed something along the way. Oh wait a second, now I see the cells are 3700's. This is his version of a 12th scale racer then and not a gold 18th scale version?

Any how, that gold looks sick. Deffinately not something that will see mcuh run time in it's future:cool:

Hya m8 :)
I have been in Wales in summer, nice time :)

If at least 3 people order them, I'll let them prepare. The price will be like for that 2 sets or a little bit better, depend on how much sets will be made. Just the shipping will be 7 instead of 5 USD, that was bonus for that man :)

well, I got at gome 0:30 today :-/
After adjusting to my driving style, I qualified to A main, so not so bad. Dunno the final possition, I didnt listen carefully, but its like 8th or so. I will post when official results are presented on web.
I am satisfied, A main was full of very skilled racers with motors like 14T Triniti's.
BTW the winner is Juraj Hudy.
