I'm thinking of buying an XRAY for summer racing. Can anybody tell me what they are like to drive, set up, problems, etc.....

the track that i race at we have about three racers with x-rays.one of the drivers qualifies weekly for the a-main and usually is a top three driver.with only a couple of x-rays parts become an issue, the hobbyshop does not stock parts for them.with some of the other cars parts are stocked and other racers share parts.but of course this is were i race and the hobbyshop that is near by.check with the other racers and see what the hobbyshop has for parts.

Yeah, that's alot of the reason why I'm asking. I like the way the car looks, and what I've read about it. However, if I decide to get one, it looks like I'll be mail ordering alot of parts, just like my micro!

Wow, I was also looking into getting one as well. See if your lhs
has any left over december 2001 rc car action mags left. They have 11 1/10 electric touring cars shootout. I believe the Xray T-1,lOSI XXS and the Yokomo were picked by the three editors.

I'd appreciate it! Just got the 'ol income tax check, it's burning a hole in my pocket. I actually read that the replcement parts and hop-ups are rather pricey.......

Woody,
well hopefully there won't be any replacing of parts.. I hope!!..
Xray only uses the highest quality materials and was rated best
craftmanship of all 11 touring cars tested. But with my driving style you never know!! I will keep you posted..

I am actually looking into these batts for the car. Reedy Zappers 3000HV $69.99 I would probably get two sets. The Xray ranges from 300-350.00

if you have all that stuff i bet I know somthing you don't have, a wife. My girlfriend is like "You already spent 200 dollars and now you're getting this other ESP thing" I smacked her and told her i wouldn't need to make my car lighter if she wasn't so fat. Then she ran 5 miles and made me dinner.

yeah but she's only my wife when I'm not racing. And I race alot, in our basement, at the track, etc... When we go to her mom's I take my 24th scale and race it in the driveway. She once told me that maybe I should have sex with my cars rather than her:p

or maybe you could mount forgein objects on them and your cars could have sex with her. You could control it so it wouldn't be cheating.

I have had an xray for about 8 months. It is a very adjustable easy to drive car. It is fairly durable but parts are a little on the pricey side. I have had great luck with mine and if you can afford it, i would highly reccomend it.
