Hey, if i had enough power and a low enough center of gravity i would mount my potato cannon on my Camaro body :D
Muzzleloader, 5 ft long, 2 1/2 in. wide barrel, 3 1/2 in. chamber
4 seconds of full blast Aquanet, potato crammed down barrel 3/4 of the way (just a close guess), click the lantern lighter and BOOM, 300 yards away some kid gets knocked off his bike by a flaming potato. :D

Hell, i just gave meself an idea... (last time i got an idea i fired a potato into orbit, my friend in Nova Scotia did a search and found that some sailor saw a small oblong rock-looking object fall some distance from his boat... 5 potatoes and a decided to dismantle the monster and make smaller, more mobile potato cannons before i got arrested for unauthorized firing of ballistic projectile weapons) (a potato goes into orbit via 40 foot cannon, fyi. I found a guy over the internet that fires 5 oz. cans of beans with a custom made artillery cannon

In speaking of people who never figured out what that little stick on the side of the steering wheel base with the arrows on it meant, i think it should be a federal law that anyone that lacking the use of a turn signal or using the turn signal misproperly (why someone would will forever be beyond me) should be issued a ticket and their lisence plate recorded... 2nd time $50.00 fine... freakin loser almost got me killed....

You could always let him slam into your car and then test to see if he has insurance :D :D :D I'm sure he would stop being a jackass if you did that...but only do this if you have too much money and nothing to do.

I have very little money to spend, but who says i dont have anything to do? I have to give u ppl a hard time, inform you of my potato cannon project status (OOPS gave it away!!! j/k), and of course work on my micro! :D

Have you considered reaming out the front of the potato (make a little hole and a cavitiy inside) and injecting, say, some flammable fluids?:D

You just got me started... Here's what i use for ammo:
Plain Potatos
Oranges
Tangerines (very nice fit in a 2.5" barrel)
Smoke Bomb Potato (Epson salt + vinegar + sugar boiled, turned, and pumped into the potato)
Flaming potato 1(Potato wrapped in newspaper)
Flaming potato 2 (potato coated in WD-40)
Flaming Potato 3 (Gasoline doused potato [DON'T TRY THIS ONE])
Flaming Potato 4 (Potato fired normally w/ newspaper + external firestarter)
Smoke stream cloud (Flour goes in AFTER the potato [very important for safety reasons])
Barbie Dolls (friends with sisters rock)
D-Cell Batteries
Pears
Apples (not fun)
Small flame (fire the cannon without ammo)
Small Explosives (black cats and such.... very expensive and no fun at all)
Bottle rockes (I'm still sorry I ever tried this one)
Pebbles and sand in front of potato (cool for crashing pool parties)
Rocket potato (Potato with streamline cuts fired from a rifled barrel, even better for crashing pool parties)
Small mercury/potato bombs (im not at liberty to say how i did this one)
Coors Light Cans (Now you know why they call Coors the Silver Bullet...)
Rocks in front of potatos (Awesome for getting revenge on some deserving peoples and crashing pool parties from a long distance)
16.9 Liter Dr. Pepper/7-Up bottles (full of course...[Best streamline design... hey, it works for golf balls, why not pop bottles?])
Dog Crap in a Bag (Watch your friend try to put out the fire...)
I once saw on a website that someone used a dead frozen bird as ammo. Works like a dart.
Racquetballs (Sweetness for screwing barbeques[sp?])
Lantern Lighter Matches (Last longer than regular matches, lots more red-burning fuel)
Water (Take a shower while you're at it...)
And one last wonderful thing:
Flame cannon. Spray fuel in the chamber, and a ton of WD-40 down the barrel. Double barrels with this rocks. Set your neighbor's "burning bush"(note the pun :D) on fire.... :D
I know theres more out there somewhere... i'm not even gonna DARE tell you what i shoot these things at...
how about this?
Rocket Potato - large model rocket engine with fuse from a black cat stuck in end of it, insert engine into potato, insert potato engine first into cannon and fire

The potato would explode in the barrel even if you still used the 3 foot standard barrel length.... people have used fireworks though, how the spud broke free first is beyond me... People have used medium-sized rock engines and used those, but the chance that it will come back and slam you in the face is too much for me to risk. Arrow potatos are nice though, stick a hunting arrow through the potato and put the fletching in first... BTW, Black cats explode way too fast for me to even consider using them, unless im blasting rocks apart for the LHS/Track... and even then i just use simple home-made explosives with say... vingegar, baking soda, and a couple of those popper things you buy at the 4th of July parades (US Only)...

I'm working on applying CO2 for boost... perhaps pressurized air with a peizo valve could also work for an onboard BB gun...

If you saw the one with the delvery truck, you saw that they had these catapults and stuff. Well take like one of the flat micro bodies, like the Stratus, Corvette, or NSX, and then strap on a catapult or even a slingshot. Jiffy a servo some way to operate the catapult or slingshot, and from my standpoint, put something explosive, and hit some button on your radio control thing to make the servo twitch to let go, and to see the explosive fly. There are many explosives, so be creative. This is a good way to be discreet, the micro's size and speed, but deadly, the weapon of choice on your roof. This would be perfect to foil somebody's plan or gathering, kinda like the movie, I guess, Home Alone 2.
for your info it was a trebuchet not a catapult, and putting one on the roof would cause the car to flip... why not mount a small motor to the roof and a peice of say wood with metal hanging from both ends, you turn the motor on and it spins the wood, think ball and chain, any car coming past you gets smashed to peices

Thanks jw_j for the info. Forgot about what the true power a catapult would do. I guess it was a trebuchet, but I thought they had one of those, a catapult, a four barrel CO2 gun and a big barreled one, and then a mail flinger I think or did they trash that idea. Couldn't the sling shot still work? I'm just rying to stay on topic.

Does the Micro shooting actually happen?
eventually they could, how about a pea shooter that pops out of the bed of a pickup body? the bed flips up and the pea shooter falls back onto the roof and fires bb's??

Geez, this post is old. I got bored last weekend and hooked some of those estes rocket engines to the back of a radio shack radio control car. Funniest and dumbest thing I have ever done. First it took off great, then an engine went out causing the car to hit a curb and start to barrel roll several times, unfortunately the car died, so no more rocket fun. At least until I find another one at a garage sale.
lol when you get another make it 15 rocket engines, the big ones

I used two of those estes D size engines, each claimed to have 9 seconds of burn time, then a 3 or 4 second delay before the charge fired to open the parachute that would normally be on the rocket. I didn't use an electronic method for lighting them, I just put some gas on the ends, lit it, and pulled the little trigger for all it was worth. The engine on the right went out approx. 2 seconds before it should have, causing the car to smash into a curb, barrel roll, then go in all different directions. Oh I wish I had it on video...

LMAO, I could only imagine what that would be like. No, I would never think of straping them to a micro, just to a tyco or a radio shack car. Or do what troll did...shove a speed 300 in one of them.

Well I have a couple of larger scale Nikko Hummers that might see a 540. And my buddy has a pretty small 'buggy' nikko that might see a 540 as well. Copy cat. :D

Sweet, show us some more pics if he does the 540, I would love to see that. Man, I have got to buy my micro before I waste all this money I got.

Just gut the electronics out of a tyco car. That'll work, but then you'll need another person to hold the second controller.
