I already have a very trick Mini-T for the track, so I don't really want another race truck, so I converted my rc18t into a mini-monster! I started with the shock towers by adding another rear up front! I then added Venom Mini-Giant oil shocks all the way around, which are all four long shocks, so the taller tower up front was needed.

The taller tower also made modifying RC12L body mounts easier to mount! I now needed bigger rubber, so Trinity Mini-T monster tires and wheels were used. The off-road series was what I picked, and the tires and wheels are wick'ed. I installed a 12 tooth pinion to help motivate it all, and it works really nice!

The body mounts gave about 1" of lift, the shocks gave about 1/2", and the tires gave about another 1/2" for a total of 2" over stock height. It jumps great also!

Genius! Any chance of a close up photo of the RC12L body mount conversion?

Nice Lift!

Mondo you can use the rear body mounts for the TC3 on the RC18T's rear shock tower. It's a direct fit.

Like nitrorulz I am also running a rear shock tower upfront which makes using the body mounts easier!

Here's a pic of my RC18T lifted

Nice ride, I like the way you've used clear Lexan to lower the bodyshell sides in order to keep debris out. Great idea :)

Thanks for the info on the shock towers, so I use 2 x rear body mounts for the TC3 and an RC18T rear shock tower up front?

Yup. And don't forget 2 more rear shocks. The extended body post's will take the bigger 1/10th clips too.

Thanks Mondo!

The lexan undertray is o.k. I'm not convinced yet if it works or not? But I think it will work better with the body mounted lower.

And like big-kid said you need to use rear shocks with the rear shock tower upfront.
