Thanks

I've just found out that there is a club that races the Mini Zs, but I don't know any info on it, looking into it though to see if we could race

Hey, nope wasnt at the race today.... how did it go for you? Did you get your parts.
I took my MRS4 round to my Girlfriends house tonight and she feel in love with it. Wants to buy a car now for herself so the racing might have to hold off as Im trying to get hold of 2 M-03 tamiya minis.
Do you know of any other company that makes small mini or beetle cars? that are under 100 quid, Must be 1/10th (I know thats against the forums but its easier for her to work on)

No, only got my parts today, but still raced. Didn't go so well, broken parts all through the heats then only beat a seven year old for the F- Final victory, lol.
Tamiya would be the only manufacturer with cheap 1/10th scale cars that are rtr and easy to maintain and can be hop-uped. Traxxis have the Ntech or something, but it's terrible. Tamiya do the old and new minis, and if you're extremely lucky you can get a bettle used, but usually more than £150

Cool, its a good idea. I may have to sell the micro already to get a buggy and stuff for the TC3, I want a buggy, lol, I can't afford a truck so a buggy'll do, lol

I got blown away today (Not only by the wind) I went to the model shop and asked to order a old M03 chassis and got told they dont make them any more
So anyway I went to do my other business in the shop showing the owner a webpage l designed for them he loved it and offered me 2 M03Ls as payment :D
Im all chuffed. Best part is the M03L can be made into a M03 by removing a extender so I can run a old mini shell on it :D
Have you ran the micro yet? its amazing fun specially around the house.

Bummer, the micros are loadsa fun in the house!!! Youc ant really get a 1/10 up to speed in the house so the 1/18th are a blast, I can go full wack down my hall and jam the brakes on at the end. Brilliant!!!!
You should take a ESC out of one of your other cars and give it a try before you sell it. Sure you could wash some cars and grab some money from some relatives.
Thinking of ordering a venom fireball 19turn for my mini (cheap and cheerful) a Novak XRS speed controller and hpi pro 4 shocks with 60wt oil and a full set of ball bearings.
Going to be fun!!!

I did have an ESC in it for a while, and did use it, but the steering servo was always wiggling about and it wasn't going straight. I'll be at Downshire tomorrow, last week was Bangor, lucky you didn't go, lol

Good thing l didn't go wasnt it. lol. Ive no idea when lm going to get down, since the whole buying a pro4 thing has changed, the money has went into these two wee minis. Which l might add should be rockets when there done.
items bought so far. Bearsings, Ball diff, Carbon gear shafts, HPI Pro 4 shocks, 60wt oil, 3300 battery packs x3, 19turn motor, XRS speed controller and high torque steering servo lol.
Im going to burn throw lots of tyres hehe.
Let me know how you get on this weekend. :)

I didn't do too badly, better than usual anyway, I got 6th in the D final, when their was even an E final. In my heats I was in Heat 1, bottom, but I got second place both times, only slightly behind the leader. In the Finals I finished last both times, lol
And now I've spent all my cash getting a new bodyshell and a Venom speed meter, lol

Sounds like you had a good time, wudnt worry bout comming last, it happens to all of us, ull only get better over time.
Ohhh body shells hehe, Im looking a new one this week for my TL-01 maybe a alfa or a dodge. Let me know how you get on with that speed meter from venom.
Id like to know how well it works and which way you set it up. My girlfriend wants one lol.

It isn't too hard too fit, just attach the magnet to the driveshaft with tape, a couple of layers, and put the reader thing somewhere underneath where it isn't touching to read it. The only thing you need to do to set it up is find out how many inches the car travels with one turn of the driveshaft, easy peasy.
I'm going to have to race my TL01 this weekend, went out in with the snowproof TC3 and crashed, broke a part that costs around £5, but I'm in a bit of dept after buying the speed meter and shell.
Oh, and I'm trading the micro for a B3 buggy, tomorrow, lol

bummer about the TC3 least you didnt do to much damage. Dont know how the TL01 will fair in the races, I know its a super robust car but not to sure on how it will servive a race, Ive had mine for nearly 8 years now, and Ive only had to replace a pinion gear and the servo saver.
As for the micro, well its came and its gone, least you meet someone else to talk RC to.
ME :D

I started off racing the TL01, it isn't that bad, but its a pity that I can't use the TC3, I'm getting the hango of it now, lol
