I'm seriously debating getting one of these tomorrow at the local hobby shop, but after reading the specs on it I found out the battery charger takes 10 hours to charge a pack. Somebody please tell me there is a charger out there that will charge the pack up in 15 minutes. Thanks a bunch.

if you already are into RC then you can use your Peak Charger, or if not you can get one at your lhs for at least 50.00 bucks and some change.

I've been out of RC for about 10 years now so I don't have any of my old equipment. Can anyone recomend a charger under $50 and preferably AC/DC?

Also I don't plan on keeping the stock electronics for too long. For those who have the 18t what setups do you use?

the duratraxx piranha charger is a very nice charger with adjustable settings, it about 50 bux...the mrc superbrain is the same price too but i like my piranha more because you can charge in .1 increments whereas the brain does it in .5 increments

It will take approx. 45 mins to charge the RC18T's battery with a peak charger that is charging at 1.5amps

45 minutes is not long at all when you compare it to 10 hours.

45 minutes isn't bad. I'll probably get another pack so I can drive and charge another at the same time. Thanks for the info on the chargers, definitely feel better now.

Went to my lhs and they were sold out (big suprise being 2 days before Christmas) but they said they may have some tomorrow. But I doubt it and may have to wait till the first of the year. Bah I want it now. lol

would the losi's 4 hour charger for the mini-t's 7.2 volt 1100 mah battery work?

But 4 hours is still a long time to wait to run.

I actually bought a Losi Mini-peak charger (cause the shop didn't have the Duratrax Piranah nor ever heard of it) and it cost $20 and charges in an hour at 1.2 amp. Nothing flashy though but it does trickle charge and lets you know when it's done charging by changing a solid blue light to a flashing blue one. Ok so it does have something flashy. Even came with the matching battery connector so I didn't have to swap with the 10 hour one. I may upgrade later, but for now this is fine for what I am doing.

hey at least your 10 hour waiting went down by a lot. You can always wait and get one in the future if the charger you got now suffices.
