I really like the way this truck looks and how its built. Are there a lot of hop ups for it? I am in the market for a 1/18 truck and its either this or the Mini-T.
Any reason I should get this over the Mini-T

Well the main difference is that the RC18T is 4wd and the mini is 2wd. The Rc18t is gonna be supported by AE factory hopups like they always do. The RC18T seem to be very good from what people have posted here. IMO, Id get the Rc18t since its 4wd and Ive always been with 4wd.
I dont have one yet but Im still waiting to see how the Mini 777 is gonna be when its released sometime in the future. :)

Well I just got my RC18T and the main reason I bought it was that it's 4wd! I thought the mini-t look kewl when it first came out but the fact that it was 2wd and seeing a friend run it and it getting stuck in some short grass kind of killed it for me!
I don't think you will be disappointed with either one. It's really up to preference.
IMO I like the 4wd of the RC18T and the stock electronics are better.

I did a write up. I can't stress enough I hate the esc. it works fine forward and backward but they really missed on the brakes. antilock rakes
nice thing is you can swap in another esc without changing everything like the mini t and no mods are needed (like the mini t lol)
the little caps on the bottom of the shocks need a little shoe goo or similar to keep them from coming off. trust me, do it right away or you will end up with an empty shock. also move the front upper shock position out one hole as the spring retainer on the bottom rubs the arm under full extension (you could put limiters inside the shock instead but I wanted to keep the length
then take apart and shim the front and rear difs. outside the bearing with the large gear side (right side rear when looking from back and left side front same look). this stops it skipping if you hammer the brakes and it goes into reverse or if you try to wheelie when on high bite surface.
the servo saver works well, even some serious smash ups. mine is a little loose now but I really tested it out hitting some serious barriers hard.

Well i got mine yesterday (Friday) and im loving it. The only thing i did was to get the Trinity Offroader tires for better grip then the stock pin tires. Pipeous, is right the ESC sucks, just replaced it today with a LRP because the stock esc was causing way too much glithing for me. Now the 18t is awesome.
