I know that the HobbyTown on Metcalf is organizing (or talking about organizing) a parking lot race schedule for micro's...But... I am looking for folks, and/or a place to run that is not so "organized". I don't feel confident enough to just jump right in and race, I would like a place and people to practice with first. I also wouldn't mind finding a place to setup a "permanant" track for daily fun. Any idea's, let me know.

Hey jason I live in Manhattan but I will be moving to K.C. after graduation. I dont think I could compete at too high of a level though. My car is very fast but I cant drive too well yet.

Cool lull0713,
I used to live in Manhattan, I still kinda miss it. I had a total blast in that town. When you say graduate, you mean from HS or KState? When do you expect to make the move?

There seems to be a decent scene for RC here, I'm still kinda new to the area also so I find something new every now and then.

Do you race anything other than micro's? I usually run my XXX-T over in Indepedance and the indoor offroad track, and I run my XXX-S in the street infront of my house for now. Definatly looking forward to having another micro-enthusiest in town.

P.S. Keep practicing, after a while the driving comes naturally. :-)

I will be graduating from the KSU architecture program.

I have never even been able to race my micro. I dont know anyone around here that has one.

But I did run it against a stock nitro RS4 and smoked it!

The micro is my only car; but I would love to get a super nitro rally or one of the new Savage trucks.
